The best stories are those that have funny little beginnings.

Back when it all began in 2007, we hadn't considered building dog kennels or cubby houses as our focus was primarily new homes and renovations - at one point we had a 2 year waiting list! It was fantastic knowing our clients valued our work so much that they were willing to wait such a long time... Still makes us feel warm and fuzzy! 🥰

One winter, a friend of ours asked if we could whip up a dog kennel for her. It was a simple request and was easy to do but between her asking and us delivering a couple of weeks later, she no longer had the dog - so the kennel was posted online and we received a bunch of calls!

What started from humble beginnings has grown into something very special. We now offer kennel delivery interstate (both South Australia and New South Wales) and have no intention of slowing down any time soon.

Cubby houses were a little different. It was just after Christmas time when a friend of ours called - she was angry, annoyed, and frustrated. After surprising her kids with an amazing cubby house (in a box) it had taken them over three weeks to assemble! Each and every piece had to be nailed or screwed together. Another friend said she had ordered a cubby not realising she had to also order the floor! 

That's when we decided we'd make a cubby house that took an hour to assemble. Christmas is meant to be a wonderful time, not filled with frustration over a present that isn't giving as well as it should have. 

Stoneman Constructions began in Ballarat and is still proudly based in the growing and vibrant city with stockists throughout Victoria.
